In order to start promptly try to arrive before 9... about 8:45 each day so that you are prepared for whatever will happen first!
Parents, we should be wrapping up at 3 pm. Please be prompt in picking up your cadet. If there are issues with schedules, please email Mr. Schmitt directly and he will try to work with you.
APPAREL: Please dress in comfortable clothes you can move around in. Preferably, wear some type of DMA Spirit wear!
GROOMING STANDARDS – Coming back for Choir Camp means you are BACK TO SCHOOL and should be squared away when it comes to grooming. The NJROTC Grooming Standards can be downloaded at the bottom of the page. Parents, don’t let those young men fool ya… make sure they have their hair cut and looking sharp as we return! :)
WATER: Every good vocalist drinks water continually! Please supply a personal water bottle marked with the cadet's name. There is no running water on the second floor of our building.
FOOD: Lunch will be from 11:30am-12:30pm. Please bring a bagged lunch. We have microwaves available.
Many kids take the time to go to Burger King via their own transportation, which is fine, but we will have specific rules as to where we can be during that hour when on campus (mainly in the music room).
If your cadet wants to go to Burger King with other cadets they must have a signed Transportation Permission Slip from the parent of both the riding cadet and the driving cadet (downloadable at the bottom of the page.)
MUSIC: The choir sings perennial standards that need to be ready to perform at the beginning of the school year. Some of these will be learned at choir camp. Sheet music will be provided on the first day of camp.
ATTITUDE: BRING A GOOD ATTITUDE!! This is SO IMPORTANT!
We are coming to work hard and accomplish a lot!
Like everything in life, Attitude = Outcome!
You will truly get what you put into this endeavor so enjoy the program, love the program, and make it a great experience by bringing an open mind and a great work ethic!
